Sally Wheelwright

Sally Wheewright worked at the ARC from 1996-2010, first as a Research Assistant, then as a Research Associate and Deputy Director, before moving to Southampton University’s Academic Unit of Cancer Science. While at the ARC she was a key contributor to the development and evaluation of novel psychometric instruments such as the Autism Spectrum Quotient (AQ), the Empathy Quotient (EQ) and the Systemizing Quotient (SQ) as well as the Reading the Mind in the Eyes Test (RMET), as measures to quantify individual differences in cognitive dimensions relevant to autism and the broader autism phenotype. She remain a collaborators on a number of ARC projects, including EU-AIMS and the NIHR CLAHRC Q-CHAT study.
