Dr Tracey Parsons

Director of Workstreams

Tracey was first Communications Manager, then Communications and Community Engagement Lead at the ARC. She worked on projects including the AIMS-2-TRIALS project, where she contributed to the planning and implementation of its communication and education strategy. This aims to ensure that autistic people are listened to and included in the project’s research, that researchers are supported to engage with them meaningfully, and that information about the project is communicated in a clear and transparent way.

Tracey worked for over 10 years in Clinical Psychology, primarily with adults with learning disabilities and those with autism. After noting that the culture of organisations – along with the attitudes of those in charge – were critical factors in determining the wellbeing of those they work with, she decided to step away from clinical work and look for opportunities to influence public and organisational perceptions more broadly.

Tracey left the ARC to take up a position at the Autism Centre of Excellence (ACE), where she continues this work.
