Dr Owen Parsons

Research Associate

Owen’s Phd (funded by the Medical Research Council) tested a number of cognitive processes in autistic adults, including systemising, memory, and implicit learning. He uses experimental psychological paradigms. and collaborators include Professor Zoe Kourtzi in the Department of Psychology in Cambridge, and Professor Adrian Owen, the Canada Excellence Research Chair in Cognitive Neuroscience and Imaging at The Brain and Mind Institute, The University of Western Ontario, Canada.

Before his PhD he worked as a Research Assistant with Dr Sarah Baker, assessing how autistic and neurotypical children learn about physics, in the Faculty of Education, Cambridge University. He has also worked at the Centre for Autism in Education (CRAE), at University College London, with Professor Liz Pellicano and Dr Anna Remington, investigating perception in autism.

Before coming to Cambridge, Owen obtained his BSc in Physics and Philosophy at the University of Bristol and completed an MSc in Experimental Psychology at the University of Sussex.
