Dr Jan Freyberg

Dr Jan Freyberg completed his PhD with MRC funding at the Autism Research Centre, focusing on the differences in basic visual perception between autistic and neurotypical people . He used basic visual paradigms such as binocular rivalry, crowding and various attention manipulations in order to test for differences in the visual cortex and indicators of how autistic individuals may perceive the world. He worked closely with Dr Caroline Robertson, formerly at the ARC and now a Fellow at Harvard University. He combined psychophysical methods with ERP. He then worked as a postdoc in the Forensic and Neurosciences Department at Kings College London, and is currently working as a Research Engineer in the AI for Good team at Element AI.
